He is a West Gardiner teen to be honored with the “YOUTH OF THE YEAR 2018” from the Boys & Girls Club of Kennebec Valley.  He has been a member of for 11 years, mentors other kids and is a member of Key Club.

Doyle goes to Gardiner Area High School, is a Varsity goalkeeper on the soccer team, a member of the Math and Latin Clubs and a school board student representative.  OH ya he has plans for the future, he will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering when he graduates.

All that is great, but now he will move forward to vie for the Maine Youth of the Year on April 12, at the Maine State House. In its 71st year, the program honors the nation’s most awe-inspiring youth on their path to a great future and encourages youth to lead, succeed and inspire.

If he wins at the state competition, he will advance to compete for the title of Northeast Region Youth of the Year and a renewable $10K scholarship. Five winners will advance to the National Youth of the Year competition to be held in Washington, DC in September. That winner will receive a renewable $25K scholarship and meet the President at the White House.

All very cool.   Congratulations and best of luck Timothy!
