Winslow Town Office Closed for Week Following COVID Exposure
According to the Kennebec Journal, the Winslow Town Office will be closed for the remainder of the week following an apparent COVID-19 exposure. A town employee was reportedly exposed to coronavirus and was supposed to be tested as of Monday morning. As a precaution the office has closed for the rest of the week.
According to town manager, Erica LaCroix, “All meetings that are held on Zoom or other electronic platforms will continue as scheduled. The town office will tentatively reopen on Monday, April 5, pending negative testing. If any employee tests positive, this time could be extended.”
Close contacts to the employee in question have already been notified. The story goes on to explain that the Police Department, Fire Department and Parks and Rec departments are unaffected by the closure because they operate out of other buildings.
