Winter Weather Advisory is in Effect Today For Central Maine
Yes, you read that correctly. And you're probably thinking to yourself, 'isn't it gonna be like 60 friggin' degrees tomorrow?' And the short answer is, yes, yes it is. But today is a whole different animal.
According to WGME 13, there is a winter weather advisory in effect for several parts of Maine, including Kennebec County, that begins at 1 PM today and ends at 1 AM Tuesday morning.
Most of the day will pretty uneventful. In fact, even when the advisory kicks in at 1 PM most people won't notice much of a change in the weather. WGME, says that any impactful weather will likely come around the evening commute.
As we go through Tuesday evening, temperatures will be on the rise. By the time Wednesday morning arrives we will be headed into more unseasonable weather as Wednesday will provide a mix of sun and clouds with highs near 60 for most in Central Maine.
The Thursday cools off a bit more and a snowstorm moves in later on Friday. Welcome to Maine. Drive carefully.
