WWII Vet Dies From Coronavirus Alone Because Family in Quarantine
Because some other members of his family had also tested positive and were all in quarantine, a 93 year old world was II vet died alone from COVID-19 complications.
According to Daily Mail, George Possas passed away at a Long Island Hospital earlier this week. He had enlisted in the military when he was only 17 years old. He fought in the Pacific during the second world war.
Because his daughters and son-in-law had also tested positive, they were forced to remain at home and in quarantine and were not permitted into the hospital to see him.
New York City has seen a massive spike in COVID-19 in the last few days. So much so that the Trump administration has deployed one of the two naval hospital ships to New York Harbor to assist in the overflow.
