Let me start by saying that I don't necessarily endorse this video. Actually, as a born-and-raised Mainer, I couldn't possibly endorse this video. Does the creator do a good job directing people who want to visit Maine to some of our biggest and most expensive tourist traps? Yup! Is that good for Maine's pocketbook? Yup! They just aren't the places that I would take my family visiting Maine, that's all.

Out buddy (I don't really know him) over at the YouTube Channel 601 Travels does a really good job giving descriptions and providing footage of all the places he thinks that people visiting Maine should check out.

He kicks the top-10 countdown with Portland Head Light, doing a great job giving a detailed breakdown and history of the light. He then proceeds to direct people to Acadia National Park. Coming in at number 8 on his list is Mt Katahdin. Next on the list is the Casco Bay Lines ferry service. Naturally Boothbay's beautiful Botanical Gardens makes this list as a top-10 Maine destination. We then go back to Southern Maine as he urges viewers and visitors alike to check out Maine's Old Port.

There are several other honorable mentions that appear throughout the video, such as the Gulf Hagas Rim Trail in Brownfield. But overall it's a fairly predictable video of all the 'Google-able' things that there are to see in Maine. Check it out for yourself and see what you may have added to the list!
