With Halloween over, it's time to start thinking about Christmas! Well, assuming you aren't one of those people who've been thinking about Christmas since late July... (It's okay if you are... We won't hold it against you) Waterville's annual Parade Of Lights and the opening of Kringleville will take place on Black Friday (November 25th)
As a mom, I couldn't be more proud of my Emma as she becomes a teenager. For her 13th birthday, Emma would like to collect as many donations between now and November 5th to give to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society. In return, she doesn't want any gifts for herself. Everything must go towards the fur babies looking for new homes.
I love the name of Winslow, Maine author Sheri Larsen's new book, 'Motley Education.' The book is set in Peru, Maine in the mythical Motley Junior High, a school for the psychically and celestially gifted. The novel is fun and engaging. Kids, and kids at heart, will love it.
8 year old Jeremy Miller from Murrieta, CA, is in a wheelchair because he suffers from spina bifida. Every year he and his dad, Ryan, come up with a cool Halloween costume that incorporates his wheelchair.
Don't miss this awesome event and fundraiser happening this Friday from 6-9p at the Cohen Community Center in Hallowell!
Dress as your favorite Hollywood star and walk a real red carpet! Tickets are $50/person or $350 for a table of eight...
Well, that's it! Can you believe it? We're finally married. It seems like we've been planning and counting down the days forever...or at least the better part of a year.
The weekend before Halloween you can take a ride on Maine's Ghost Train, if you dare!!!!! The Boothbay Railway Village presents their annual Ghost Train on October 28th and 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Since Wild Blueberries are one of only 3 fruits native to North America (the other 2 are the cranberry and the wild grape), it should not be a big surprise that Maine has an entire theme park dedicated to blueberries!
