I wrote earlier today about Van Halen's '1984' turning 30 today and how it is still one of my favorite albums of all time. I do have a few others and not all of them are metal or hard rock.

My all time favorite is 'Hysteria' from Def Leppard. Seven hits, over 20 millions records sold, I know I'm not alone.

Some others in my list of favorites include, 'License To Ill' by Beastie Boys. I can still recite "Paul Revere" without the song even playing. "Had a little horsey named Paul Revere, Me and my horsey and a quart of beer......"

'Heartbeat City' from The Cars was a great one too with sing along songs like, "Magic," "You Might Think" and the ballad, "Drive."

'Mad Mad world' from Tom Cochrane is one I could play over and over. That along with 'Fumbling Towards Ecstasy' from Sarah McLachlan  and Bryan Adams' 'Waking Up The Neighbours' are two others atop my list. That's the Canadian in me coming out.

I love, both 'Eliminator' and 'Afterburner' from ZZ Top. "Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man."

I love, 'Bigger And Deffer' aka. 'BAD" from LL Cool J. That album features one of my favorite songs, " I Need Love."

'Uh huh' by John Cougar Mellencamp and 'Born in the USA' by Springsteen, owned those two as well. Maybe a few times, due to a hungry cassette player.

Some really old albums I like, 'Bat Out of Hell' from Meatloaf', 'Dr. Hook's Greatest Hits' 'Rumours' by Fleetwood Mac and AC/DC's 'Back in Black'.

Can't wrong with Guns n' Roses' 'Appetite For Destruction'. One of the greatest mainstream rock records ever. (In my opinion)

And last but not least at top of mind, Girl, You Know It's True' from Milli Vanilli. This leads me to part number two of this post. Albums I liked but didn't tell anyone about.

Heart's 'Brigade', the 1993 Joey Lawrence album, TLC's 'Oooh on the TLC Tip',  'Hangin' Tough' from NKOTB, 'Knee Deep in the Hoopla' by Starship and Roxette's 'Look Sharp'

How about you, any album you want to fess up to owning, or have a favorite from your youth? Do tell.
