Earlier today we went grocery shopping, and for a family of five, in it of itself, can be an experience. We were shopping at BJ's, as we do for most things, as they are the only wholesale club in our area. Now for the funny part of the story.

I'm getting something we missed while walking the aisles, as Lynn waits in line to check out. As I'm walking back to the health and beauty section to pick up shaving cream, as those who know me know I use a lot. (Inside joke, as I shave about twice a week.)

As I was on my journey, a girl in her later 20s or early 30s looks me up and down, and smiles. I'm like on cloud nine, as I haven't been looked at like that by a random woman since 1992.

I'm all excited and I tell Lynn. Lynn says to me, "Are you sure?" I said, "Yes, why, do I have a booger in my nose, or is my fly down?" I quickly check myself over and I don't appear to be out of sorts, so I ask again, to my lovely wife, "What do you mean?" "Are you sure?" Lynn replies, "You're wearing your pullover 90s style coat."

At that moment, I realize I have paired my purple hoodie with a maroon and teal coat, that my Mom got me about 20 years ago.

Was this girl looking at me because I was dressed funny or was it because I still have "it?" I'll never know, I guess, but it still makes for a fun story. I'll go with the latter and be "hot" in my own mind.
