Augusta Police Warn of Another Netflix Scam
It looks like there is another scam going around involving Netflix.
The Augusta Police Department is warning Netflix customers to be careful if you receive an email asking you to update your membership information.
Do not respond. Netflix does not ask for personal information through email.
According to WGME, the new scam asks Netflix users to update their login information and to validate their payment information by providing among other things, their credit card number and expiration date, and social security number.
After Netflix customers have provided their information, they are re-directed to the actual Netflix homepage. This makes the phishing email look realistic.
Do not provide any personal information.
