According to the Augusta Maine Police Departments Facebook page, someone or has been breaking into vehicles in the area of Eastern Ave. The majority of break-ins have been in the areas of Davenport Street and the Mayfair area. But there have been reports of car theft throughout the city.

Augusta Police Department is asking residents to stay vigilant and to lock their vehicles while they are unoccupied, and please make sure never to leave valuables in your cars. If you see any suspicious activity, please call the Augusta Police Department at 626-2370, or you can notify them through their anonymous crime report app.
