I'm pretty sure it's safe to say we are all just about done with scams, whether it be by email, text, mail, or telephone. We are over it!  Sadly, in the last year, we have seen the number of scams skyrocket.  While they are mainly due to the ongoing pandemic, some have been brought about by recent political situations.

The latest Facebook scam specifically targets businesses and public figures - like politicians, musicians, and other celebrities.  This new scam plays off the recent surge of accounts being suspended over politically-oriented comments.

The scammers use a Facebook page that is meant to look like a legitimate Facebook Corporation account. The page tags the target page with a post that claims the target page has somehow violated Facebook’s terms of service and that they will shut down the page unless they log in to confirm their account.

Whatever you do, DO NOT click the link.  It is a Phishing scam.  And, by logging in with your information, scammers will be able to take over your Facebook account and/or steal your identity.
