Drive Thru Sock Hop Fundraiser for Homeless Vets in Madison Saturday
According to the Kennebec Journal, there will be a sock hop happening Saturday at the Madison American Legion to benefit homeless veterans, homeless shelters and other people who are in need.
Now don't worry about COVID protocols and social distancing at this boogie because this is going to be a drive-thru event! Yes, you heard that right, a drive-thru sock hop.. So cool!
Member's of the legion's auxiliary will be outdoors helping to collect donations as hoppin' tunes from the 50's and 60's play in the background. So toss on your blue suede shoes, fire up the '55 Chevy and get yourself down to 20 Maple Street in Madison.
If you're looking for more information or possible even want to help out at the event, organizers ask you to contact Harriet Bryant at 207.635.2051 or just click right here to visit the Tardfiff-Belanger Post 39 American Legion website.
