According to the KJ, Bowdoin College graduate Anne McKee celebrate her accomplishment by running the over 30 miles from the college to her family's home in Hallowell.

Timing her Saturday run perfectly, she made it back to her home in time to take part in the college's virtual graduation ceremony.  She even ran the last stretch in her cap and gown.

The long-time runner, who competed at both Kents Hill and Bowdoin, completed the task in four hours and 45 minutes.

Mckee won the Maine state college indoor track championship for the 500 meters.  She also won the New England Small College Athletic Conference All-American award four times for track and cross country.

McKee graduated with degrees in history and environmental science.  She also has a minor in Japanese.  She plans to spend the next few years living in Islesboro where she'll work at expanding their farmers' market and helping the local school.
