Bungee workouts have gained popularity and become super trendy recently. This one business in Maine has become a hotspot with the legendary bungee workout.

What are bungee workouts?

According to CBS News, bungee workouts have become a big popular exercise trend. This is a high-intensity exercise with resistance training. It's often a low-impact cardio experience. People are harnessed to a bungee cord and suspended from the ceiling. This helps in tightening and working out your core muscles.

WABI did a Get ME Fit series where they tried this new workout at XGravity Fitness.  Ben Bowdoin is the man, the myth, and the legend who is the only reason that Mainers can take part in this awesome workout. He is also the previous coach for tumbling and cheerleading from Augusta.

Ben has taught over 900 people, according to the article, and is still the only person in Maine who offers this workout, saying,

Come this March 24th, it will be three years that I’ve been doing this. I’m still the only person in Maine that does this for a living, which is pretty awesome.

Instead of having one brick and mortar space, the trainers travel to different locations throughout the week. They go from Berwick to Brewer, as the article states. This way, people of all ages and sizes across the state have the chance to engage in this swinging activity.

This weekend, classes will be held every Sunday at Next Generation Dance Studio in Brewer. Additional locations are Fairfield and Chelsea!
