Camp Out Hunger is gearing up for its third annual running this year. Can you even believe that? Cuz we sure can't.

I know it's often said "now more than ever", but we really mean it when we say it. The need for food and the number of Mainers finding themselves food insecure has skyrocketed over the last 18 months and drives like Camp Out Hunger are critical for organizations like the Capital Region Salvation Army.

We'll be staged around the clock at the Sam's Club parking lot in Augusta from Tuesday morning through Saturday afternoon next week. Whether you can make a food or monetary donation, we want to see you there at some point during the week. Even if all you can do is say 'hi' that's okay, too!

Here's our interview from this morning talking with Captain Davis about what the need for food looks like here in Central Maine.
