Central Maine’s Popular Ground Round Restaurant Making Major Changes

Chris Clarke and Trevor Scott paid a visit to the 92 Moose Studio recently to share some very exciting news. They were extremely pumped to let us know that they are making some epic changes to The Ground Round Sports Bar Grille and Tap Room.

The new and improved Ground Round is located at 215 Whitten Road in Hallowell, Maine.

Get ready to walk into a world of sports, high energy, fresh food, and delicious drinks. Trevor, the mixologist brought us some sample cocktails to test out and let me say, I was "a buzz" with energy after.

We were also lucky enough to try out some of their food. Chris, the chef is very much into making sure all of the food offered at their restaurant is completely fresh.

Chris told us they were not going to be serving any food that comes in a bag, similar to other food chains, and if you do not like it, send it back with no questions asked.

I tried the "Big Daddy Queso Burger" and I was in heaven. Matt had the chicken tender basket, of course, because his pallet is very extensive and Cooper ate the pork eggrolls, which is a favorite and hard to get anywhere else.

The guys explained to us that this is going to be a true "sports-themed" bar. The interior is going to be full of sports pandemonium. We found out that they are having a 40 x 7 inch LaCasse baseball bat made for the restaurant.

LaCasse makes bats for Major League Baseball and the Ground Round will be running all their taps through the bat line.

Get ready to have a summer party to remember because they will have music going all summer long on the patio.

What else are they doing on the patio? Their is going to be an outside smoker for the meats and a flat top fryer. So you will be able to order your food and at the same time, watch it cooked and served directly to you!

The best thing about this is that when you meet these guys you will have a blast. Here is an example. Trevor Scott decided to juggle for me with my stress ball, Tylenol, and old raisins.
