Chef Gordon Ramsay Looking For Young Maine Chefs

Is your son or daughter between the ages of 8 and 13, and a whiz in the kitchen?  if they have what it takes, this could be a great way for them to get an early jump start on their culinary arts career.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Gordon Ramsay is holding an open casting call for Masterchef Junior

The closest casting call is in New York on March 2nd, but you can audition through video.   Pre-register HERE

The casting is for the 8th season.  No dates have been set.  The 7th season hasn't even aired yet.  That will start on February 26th.

Like many adult cooking shows (Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen, Chopped, Top Chef), the kids compete in a cooking challenge each week, with the one (or more) being eliminated at the end of each episode.  The winner gets a trophy and $100,000.

And yes, Ramsay is A LOT nicer to the kids than he is to the adults.
