Maine's Department of Transportation has created license plates and signs in honor of Captain Michael Bell who was killed in last weeks explosion. The plates are red and white with Farmington Fire Department at the top and Capt. Michael Bell at the bottom with the date of the accident and C-4 in the center of the plate according to centralmaine.com.

The plates will be given to the Farmington Fire Department and the cost were covered by the Maine State Police and Maine DoT.

Lisa Laflin, executive director of the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area says the donation for the LEAP explosion fund is nearing $100,000. The fund is supporting those displaced by the explosion, firefighters and their families, and LEAP employees.
