I was in Hallowell this week and it is looking GREAT and traffic is a non-issue even with the road construction project.

There will be no work activity on Old Hallowell Day (July 21st) and Water Street will be open for the parade.

The major road repair Downtown Hallowell was going through this summer seems to be going well.  Parts of Downtown Hallowell even had two way traffic this week, the 'crown' on the river side of the road is gone and the businesses are all open (as they have been during all of this) and ready for you to enjoy Hallowell.

The Maine DOT has been doing their best to minimize the impact to Downtown Hallowell during this HUGE project and the construction traffic pattern they set up is still being used and will be into the fall.  Maine DOT will shut it all down just before winter and do the final paving in the spring of 2019.
