First Amendment Museum Summer Exhibits + Hours

How about something a little different this summer? A visit to the beautiful First Amendment Museum in Augusta, Maine, right next to the Blaine House on State Street.

The First Amendment Museum is in a lovely old home that was built in 1911 and retains much of its original charm, and it worth a visit for that alone.

The focus of the First Amendment Museum is the first amendment of the Constitution of the United States "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
