Sailor Moon's busy schedule of fighting evil by moonlight and winning love by daylight doesn't leave a whole lot of time for after-school activities --- especially when you consider how much is taken up with eating, sleeping, and taking the easy way out. Now, though, it seems that young Usagi Tsukino has finally found a job that fits into her busy schedule: She is the new spokesperson for the Ford Fusion.

To be honest, that's a bit of a step down from being the reincarnated princess of an ancient moon kingdom who is also tasked with saving the world from the Negaverse, but, well, Moon Tiara Action don't pay the bills, I guess. This is, of course, advertising, but if you want to see Sailor Moon waxing romantic about a mid-sized American car, then by all means, give it a watch.

A few things to note about this: First, if memory serves, the original version of this scene was about Sailor Moon seeing her destined paramour Tuxedo Mask in the stars, implying that her 2016 equivalent is romantically interested in a car. I haven't caught up on Sailor Moon Crystal since the first few episodes, so I don't know if this is something that comes through in more modern interpretations, but in all honesty, I feel like the one real improvement that could be made to Sailor Moon would be to recast Tuxedo Mask as a talking car.

Second, unless my ears deceive me, those are members of the new Viz voice cast, Stephanie Sheh and Michelle Ruff, as Usagi and Luna, respectively. I really like that cast a lot, but I do wish that we'd had the original cast's Jill Frappier as British Luna lecturing Usagi about cruise control or whatever.
