Nothing is better than checking out new spots to drink. Especially during the holiday season. Yesterday I was Christmas shopping at the Marketplace in Augusta and stopped at El Agave's Mexican Restaurant to have a little chips, salsa, and margarita.

A brand new brewery has opened in Lewiston and I cannot wait to go check it out. It's called the Rusty Bus Brewery Company.

It is "Maine's newest Craft Beer Brewery in the making," as their Facebook description says. Rusty Bus Brewery is located at 120 Lisbon Street in Lewiston.

What's really unique about this opening is that the owners recently won the JumpstartME, a competition to attract new businesses, according to Mainebiz.

The prize that was awarded for this new venture included more than $80,000, a rent-free space on Lisbon Street in Lewiston also entailing several different services, the business site reported.

This was known as one of the largest donations from the mayor and the property owner, MaineBiz stated.

Their Facebook is abuzz with gratitude and excitement.

And guess what? They want to welcome you next Saturday to grab a beer and have some dinner to celebrate their grand opening.

Might as well add it to your list of Maine breweries to tour.
