Welcome to Maine, where even when the tulips are pushing their way through the dirt and the birds are waking up, snow is still on the horizon.

We’ve got snow, sleet, and really a little bit of everything coming our way this weekend. So, if you have plans, it may be a good idea to reschedule or just be extremely careful.

The real fun starts late Friday into Saturday, according to News Center Maine.

How much snow are we getting this weekend?

As per the forecast, Lewiston and Augusta will expect several inches of a mix of snow and sleet. News Center Maine is reporting 3-6 inches.

Looks like Portland and Sanford will get a little less at 1-3 inches. The same is said for Bangor and Greenville, only expecting a few inches.

But Berlin New Hampshire could see up to 6-9 inches with this storm.

As per the report, once Saturday after noon hits, the storm will shift south.  And on Sunday, sleet and freezing rain will hit the north. Roads could be slick so drive carefully and be cautious.

Listen, you know the drill. We're Mainers. It would be a true Pine Tree state spring without a snow fall covering our tulip buds.

Once Monday rolls are it seems like it will be warm enough for rain showers and some inland spots may see morning ice, however the temperatures will continue to climb into the 50s in Southern and Western Maine, as per the report.

If you are a spring snowstorm lover, enjoy it while it lasts and for the rest of us, don’t worry, it’s almost over.
