What is This Animal Walking Through My Yard During the Night?
Having a security camera at your front door sure comes in handy. Ever since I installed a Nest Cam at our front door, I'm always notified when someone drives in, delivers a package, or comes to the door to ring the bell.
It also comes in handy for when your girlfriend accidentally slams her finger in her car door and you have the video to save and watch over and over again, since we can all laugh at it now.
But it's not just people that the camera captures. It's also able to detect and record animals. I'd love to get a second camera for our backyard, which is often full of deer in the middle of the night.
Sometimes, though, the camera will also catch some animal in our front yard. We've seen stray dogs and cats every so often, but I'm not entirely sure what the camera recorded around 11:30 at night.
At first I thought it was a cat, but it didn't move quite like a cat, nor have a long tail like a cat. I'm sure some wise guy is going to call me a dummy for not knowing what this is. It's likely obvious to a lot of people, but not me. So take a look at the video and see if you can figure out what this is, but save your snarky comments, okay?
Here's a zoomed-in screenshot of it, and I am still not sure what I'm looking at here.
Again, I'm not an animal guy! So I'm turning to those of you who are who can tell me what this is in the comments.
