It’s a week full of delicious plates, creative cocktails, fun with family and friends, and full bellies. Folks, Maine Restaurant Week is about to return.
This incredible celebration of local food and drink began in 2009. Created by Gillian and Jim Britt, the annual festival gives Mainers the chance to experience our state’s amazing culinary spirit. Maine Restaurant Week was designed to encourage diners to explore local eateries while boosting restaurant traffic during the winter months. The event has quickly become a favorite among both food lovers and the local restaurant industry.
Maine Restaurant Week offers an opportunity for Mainers to enjoy special menus at local restaurants, attend incredible events, and support a great cause: the Preble Street Resource Center. Through ticket sales and sponsorships, the event has given back significantly to an organization that plays a vital role in supporting the local community.
Why Does Maine Restaurant Week Start This Year?
Kicking off on March 1 and running through the 12th, Maine Restaurant Week has something for everyone this year. In addition to special menus and exclusive deals at participating restaurants, a popular event is returning, adding even more excitement to the celebration.
