Legendary Maine Children’s Singer To Retire
According to WGME, singer Rick Charette has decided to retire. In a Facebook post, he says it is time for him to embrace the next chapter in his life and plans to spend more time with his family.

While he will stop performing at schools this fall, he will continue to perform through the end of the year. He also he says he'll leave the option for band performances open.
One of his final performances, a fundraiser for Rhett Syndrome research, will be at Augusta's Capital Park on Saturday, September 29th at 11:30 AM.
