Walk Through the Wondrous World of Lilacs at This Maine Festival
Imagine a breathtaking wonderland where over 100 varieties of lilac flowers bloom together in one setting. The scents filling the air with the delights of spring. It would be a perfect outing for you and your family. And it's happening this month in Maine!
Take advantage of this year's Lilac Festival on Friday, May 24, in South Paris, Maine, according to the event page. From 10:00am - 4:00pm, you will be able to explore the wonderland of lilacs at the McLaughlin Garden Lilac Festival on 97 Main Street.
The description of the event says it all,
...125 different varieties of lilacs on over 200 trees, welcomes lilac lovers to the annual Lilac Festival. For a $5 admission donation, guests may enjoy garden tours and demonstrations, family friendly activities, and shopping from our curated selection of native and unique plants, including lilacs, just right for our Maine climate. The gift shop is filled with lilac themed items as well as gardening tools, house plants and nature themed gifts. New this year: buy a chance to win a hand made item of your choice in our Lilac Festival Makers Market Penny Social. Every item is handmade and donated to this event by our McLaughlin Garden members and volunteers.
Located in the garden's center, you'll be surrounded by the vibrant greens of spring, and the paths are lined with native wildflowers!
