Sydney Choate, known as, "Sydney The Singer" on stage is taking Maine by storm! She is originally from Richmond, Maine, and has been singing for as long as she can remember. She is known for her R&B style of singing, her first performance by herself was when she was five years old when she sang at her babysitter's wedding.
She is an unbelievable songwriter who started writing very young. Sydney has made music with DaCav, a well-established group that showed her the ins and outs of the music business.
Her first professional gig was opening up for Dj Pauly D in Virginia Beach. She sang her original songs which set the bar high for her career and she's only shot up from there!
Singing in New York with artists like Vado and Mesa. Music runs in her veins and she loves singing because it's who she is.

"I would say it’s very much my identity and very much how I express myself. I feel like I really have accomplished so much which is really amazing to look back on but I feel like it’s not enough and I’m very hungry for more."

Her greatest accomplishment was opening up for Bia and Erica Banks because she is a tremendous fan of both artists. Erica Banks is an American rapper. Her first charting single was, "Buss It", which went viral on TikTok. Erica is signed to Warner Records.

Sydney will also be collecting to donate to Maine Needs at her next show. Maine Needs is a non-profit organization that strives to help individuals and families in Maine meet their basic, material needs by providing donated clothing, hygiene products, household items, and other necessities.
Her next show which is on 11/11/21 is at Suntiki studios in Portland. This next show is going to be really showcasing her R&B side more intensely.
You can follow Sydney on her Facebook Page and Instagram to check out what she's currently working on.
No awards yet but it’s definitely a goal to get noticed at the Boston music awards and then of course, ultimately the Grammys.
Maine is producing amazing artists and we can't wait to continue to follow you all!
Good Luck Sydney!
