Local Mom of Two Competed & Won Her Title at This Year’s USA Pageant
This weekend was the 2023 United States of America's Maine Pageant and the results were extremely exciting for one Maine woman.
Nykki Stevens was crowned Ms. Maine. She has been working so hard and with endless perseverance.
I interviewed her for an article previously to her winning this coveted title and she spoke on who she is, where she's been, and how motivated she is to help the people of Maine.
Nykki's platform as a Mom of two boys, is not only to uplift woman and children but to raise awareness on children with dyslexia. She is 36 years old and when she was approached to compete for this title, she was hesitant, but decided that if she will be able to make even a small difference in this world, she'd do it.
The voice inside of her head did give her doubts on if she'd fit the narrative as a 36 year old mom competing in a pageant, but she did it anyway.
And we are all very happy she did because today she is Ms. Maine.
This goes to show you that perseverance and determination will lead you to your goals. She is a full time Mother of two boys, works, and is now a title holder. This is just a simple example of what Nykki wanted to show other Mainers. If you work hard enough, you will win.
What I like about this pageant is that it was created to encourage women to become who they've always wanted to be. To make them feel confident and beautiful and to always uplift others.
Their motto is, "Empower Women, inspire others, & uplift everyone."
We congratulate Nykki and can't wait to see what is in store for her.
Remember, you can do anything you put your mind to, no matter what age you are.
