Don’t worry and don’t panic, your morning mug of coffee is still safe, for now. However, according to al.com, if you have been pouring MO-CHA premium non-dairy creamer into your coffee like it’s liquid gold, you may want to STOP.

A company based in New York called, Momo Tea has issued an FDA Level I recall, the highest and most serious level there is, on their creamer.

Why? Well, someone forgot to mention that this "non-dairy" creamer actually contains milk.

FDA posted a recall saying the following in part,

"Reason for Recall: Product does not declare the allergen, milk, on the label."

This is kind of a massive deal if you are allergic or lactose intolerant and were trusting the label.

Here’s the tea:

The product is called MO-CHA premium non-dairy creamer, the shelf life states 2 years, yes really, and the recall number is F-0732-2025. It’s distributed in New York, New Kersey, and Connecticut.

Is this creamer in Maine?

The product is not in Maine, yet. So while this recall hasn’t spilled into our states coffee scene, it’s a reminder to always check those ingredient labels, no matter what the coffee is called. This is especially important if you have serious food allergies.

A milk allergy isn’t just a lactose issue where you may get a rash, it can cause hives, breathing issues and in case kill you.

Here’s the bottom line and what you can learn from this, keep calm, but always check your ingredients.
