Maine Man Arrested For Speeding Drunk Through a School Zone Tuesday Afternoon
A Maine man was taken into custody after allegedly speeding while drunk through a school zone on Tuesday afternoon.
WGME is reporting that police in Bangor pulled a vehicle over that was allegedly speeding through a school zone on Tuesday afternoon at about 3:30 pm. Police indicate that it quickly became clear that the driver, 44-year-old Daniel Coffin of Bangor, was intoxicated during the traffic stop.
A subsequent breathalyzer test showed that Coffin's BAC (blood alcohol content) was 2x the legal limit at .16%. WGME reports that Coffin was immediately arrested on charges of operating under the influence and was booked into the Penobscot County Jail.
