Maine Man Gives Away Hundreds Of Pounds Of Lobster On Christmas Eve
According to the Portland Press Herald, for the last four years Matinicus lobsterman Noah Ames has given away lobsters to those in need.
This year, from the back of his pickup, parked at his friend's marine supply store on Rt 1 in Thomaston, he doled out almost 400 pounds of crustaceans to those in need in Maine's mid-coast region. To those approaching, he asks only one question: "How many do you have to feed?"
The whole thing started because Ames felt his children could use a demonstration of the real meaning of Christmas.
Thanks for all you do, Mr. Ames
