A Central Maine mother needs our help in locating a bag belonging to her son.

According to WGME, Crystal Tardiff-Kelley posted on Facebook that her son, who has Type 1 Diabetes, has lost a bag containing his insulin pump and insulin.  The total value of the contents of the bag are about $1,500.

In the Facebook post, Tardiff-Kelley explains:

To all my Yarmouth to Gardiner friends.. last night my son had hockey practice at NYA, when leaving my husband set my sons insulin pouch on top of his truck. They left NYA and drove off with the bag on the back of his truck. THE BAG is ABOUT this SIZE and is BLACK. It holds my sons insulin pump and all his supplies for a type 1 diabetic. We have looked everywhere! The Yarmouth police have been notified. If ANYONE happens to find his black bag it has his picture inside along with our information. PLEASE contact us if found or turn it in to the Yarmouth police department.

As you probably know, insulin and medical supplies are not cheap.  Hopefully, you have his bag or at least have seen it.

Over the last few years, there has been a raging battle of the price of insulin.  We have seen the price of the drug, which is neccessary for millions of Americans, skyrock in recent years.  In fact, it has gotten to the point that the government needed to step in to curtail the cost.  In 2020, President Trump signed an executive order aimed at limiting the price and, as part of President Biden's Build Back Better plan, the price of insulin will be capped at $35 for a 30 day supply.  That price cap, however, will not go into effect until 2023.
