According to WGME 13, a Maine Sheriff's deputy was killed on Sunday in a snowmobile accident that happened in the Northern Maine town of Limestone.

Penobscot Sheriff's Deputy, Bobbie Pelletier, had been a deputy with the department since 2008. According to WGME, Pelletier was promoted in 2015 to Corporal and then promoted again the very next year to Staff Sergeant.

Officials say that details surrounding the crash are still unclear as they work to figure out exactly what happened.
