
One Dead Following Pickup VS 18 Wheeler Crash in Maine Sunday Night
A Maine man has tragically passed away following an awful crashed that happened on Sunday night in the remote town of West Forks, Maine.
According to an article that was published by Augusta's Kennebec Journal, the crash happened sometime before 7:48 on Sunday evening on Route 201. Police are reporting that the driver of a pickup truck crossed over the center line into the path of an oncoming semi-truck.
The Kennebec Journal went on to say that the crash was reported to local officials at approximately 7:48 pm. Following the call for help, crews from the Maine State Police and the Somerset County Sheriff's Office quickly responded to the scene of the crash.
Todd Bouchard, 62 of Madison, was driving his Ford F-150 with his seatbelt on at the time of the crash. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police say that at the time of the crash, Bouchard was travelling northbound and the 18-wheeler was travelling southbound.
Police reported that the driver of the tractor-trailer,Marc-Andre Lehoux, 43, of Quebec was carrying paper products out of Canada at the time of the crash. Fortunately, there were no injuries associated with the driver of the big rig.
The paper reported that the investigation into the crash continued into the afternoon on Monday. At this time, the north and southbound lanes of Route 201 through West Forks, Maine have been reopened to traffic as normal, according to police that were on the scene of the crash.
