Maine State Police Investigate The Deaths Of Two People
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, at about 4 PM on Wednesday (September 13th) the Maine State Police responded to a disturbance complaint at the end of Clemons Cove in Hiram.
Once on the scene, troopers found the bodies of two adults.
The bodies were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta. Autopsies on the deceased individuals were performed on Thursday. The two were identified as 43-year-old Stephanie Ranieri of Hiram and 48-year-old Chad Adams of Hiram.
The press release explains that investigators have ruled the death of Ranieri a homicide and they have ruled the death of Adams a suicide.
The two had reportedly previously been in a relationship.
The Maine State Police say there is no danger to the public.
The investigation into exactly what happened continues.
