Maine’s Strawberry Season Getting An Early Start
Strawberry picking season is getting an early start for 2021. I, for one, say "yum"!
The warm spring and very summery weather recently caused the berries to be ready to go sooner than most years. Many of the pick-your-own places are already open or very close to opening for the season.
I even saw the guy who sells strawberries on the side of the road in Manchester is set up and ready for business.
According to centralmaine.com, the growers say the berries are looking good and tasting good, as well. But remember the season goes quickly, so if you are planning to pick your own strawberries, the time is now to start planning your visit to your favorite spot.
