Maine Woman Captures “Teeth-Covered” Eggs on Screen Door
One Maine woman’s screen door became the maternity ward of a very suspicious collection of eggs. And she has photo evidence to prove it!
Jessica posted a photo of a grouping of very strange, never before seen, eggs on her door to the Maine Insects Facebook, and that's where the mystery began.

We’re in Maine, yes, so we all have witnessed bug eggs, but this is something I have never seen, ever. At first, Jessica told me the eggs were a green hue but as days passed they began to change, shifting to this tan color.
Then, faces began to appear, staring out of the shells like the world’s worst set of googly eyes. Jessica watched in awe as these bugs, did there natural bug birthing thing. She documented the transition and it caught everyone’s attention!
Below is a photo showing you the size and scale of how teeny tiny this collection of eggs are!
I mean, take a look at these eggs. Have you ever seen anything like this?
The shape, the translucent color and those little teeth wrapped around the egg ball? Say what? I know!
Naturally, of course, the internet did its thing and the guesses flooded in.
But the answer was finally revealed: green stink bugs!
Check out her video, below!
Here’s the thing though, Jessica and I both agree that they look nothing like the adults they will become.
Maine.gov says, "Green stink bug nymphs are predominantly black when small, but as they mature, they become green with orange and black markings. Adult stink bugs are shield-shaped. Green stink bugs are bright green and about 3/4 inch long. "
Jessica shared, “I know, the babies look nothing like what the adults look like but I promise if you look up green stink bugs and look at the stages you'll see if that's what they are! I absolutely loved following the journey of them. It was sad once the last of the babies crawled away."
