On tough days when fatigue and personal struggles weigh us down, even the simplest daily tasks can feel like chores.

Take, for instance, a Maine woman who received a compliment that transformed her outlook completely.

I noticed a post on the Lewiston Rocks Facebook Page from a lady named, Norma stating the following:

More than likely the young lady who this message is directed to will not see it. I wish I had stopped and got her name. Yesterday, I decided to venture over to TJ Maxx in Auburn. I was walking down to the store and a young woman was walking towards me. I could see that under her jacket she was wearing a Lewiston Strong shirt. As I was walking towards her she looked at me, smiled and told me that I was just so pretty.

Wow, haven’t heard those words in a long time. Here I was hobbling along with my cane (recently had knee surgery), struggling with the thought of even trying to shop due to pain and difficulty getting around. This young lady just made my day. I wish I had stopped and given her a hug. Her comment really touched me and made me feel so good. So whoever you are, young lady, I hope you see this message and know that you made a difference. Don’t ever change!

This moment struck me deeply, because we've all experienced those tough moments.

Navigating through a day filled with various challenges can be overwhelming. Yet, it's incredible how a few words of encouragement or a simple compliment can lift you from the depths.

Norma, obviously grappling with knee pain and the dilemma of managing her shopping, found strength when a compassionate young woman uttered the words, "You are just so pretty."

Love and kindness truly have the power to elevate us when we need it most.

So, Norma posted in the public community page because of how those words stayed with her, in hopes that she may find her.

I don't believe Norma has seen this comment as of yet, but I sure do hope she sees it soon because it looks like she found the young lady who left her breathless.

A woman named Jessika posted the following in response to Norma's original message, saying,

I may be wrong but I believe it was my daughter. She told me that she helped a lady with a cane at TJ MAXX yesterday, telling me how she wished she had talked more but she was in a rush. (Am happy to message you and figure out if it were her or not) and give you her info to get in touch if it was her!!
The power of the internet is undeniable, and although it can be a dark place sometimes, it is also filled with light and love. Norma may now have found the woman responsible for lifting her up.
This may have been one quick moment in time that many would forget, but when you are really struggling and someone goes out of their way to help you, you don't forget.
