And trust me, it certainly lives up to the hype.

Now, this place isn’t one you just casually walk or drive by. It's in Bangor, sitting pretty and tucked away in the small town of Freedom.

How many people live in Freedom, Maine?

There are only 726 residents, according to the US Census, so it is indeed a tiny town, but don't let the size of the town fool you, this restaurant is a massive game-changer.

The Lost Kitchen is a farm-to-table restaurant that offers locally sourced ingredient, but here's the catch.

This kitchen is powered almost entirely by women.

In an article put out by Food & Wine, 

"French's almost entirely female crew, whom she counts as close friends, are also local farmers. "I get the best produce," she said. "My friend will text me a photo of a cauliflower in her field, and I'll say, 'Bring me 12 of those.' "

You can't just walk into The Lost Kitchen

You have to abide by the super strict and mysteriously sexy rules. You need to make a reservation meaning, guests must send in postcards for a chance to eat there months in advance, and once you’re in, you’re in for an unforgettable experience, according to The Lost Kitchen.

According to Food & Wine, The owner and Chef is Erin French. has created a menu that will blow your mind, all fresh, all local, all satisfying.
