Maine Maple Weekend is THIS Weekend, Details Here
It's a Maine tradition and it's back for the 2022 season. Of course we're talking about the delicious happenings of Maine Maple Sunday.
Of course now the Maine Maple Producers Association refers to it as 'Maine Maple Sunday Weekend', because so many of the state's sugar-houses offer events all weekend long and not just on Sunday.
Just the thought of Maine Maple Sunday takes us all back to when we were kids trudging through the mud to our local sugar shacks to watch the sap boiling process and to hopefully score a couple free treats along the way.
Many of Maine's sugar houses offer tours of the production facility, a look at the tapping process and often times a delicious pancake breakfast. It allows Mainers the opportunity to get a firsthand look into one of Maine's oldest industries and also to help support our local sap tappers and maple producers by purchasing pancake breakfasts and local maple products directly from the source.
This year, Maine Maple Sunday weekend will take place on Saturday & Sunday, March 26th & 27th. Though you will want to check with your local sugar house to check when they're going to be open. Some will be Saturday and Sunday, some will just be Sunday and some may not be open at all.
