Man Hiking with Sons Saved by Dispatcher and Social Media [Video]

For all the bad you hear about social media, there is a lot of good that happens as a result of everybody being connected. This story would have had a far different outcome if not for LinkedIn and Facebook.

Ryan Pritchard was hiking with his sons when he fell about 150 feet while rappelling. His 11-year-old boy, Jake, called 911 to make initial contact with dispatch but then, the call dropped.

Dispatch newbie, Breanna Martinez, who had only been on the job for a few weeks, started an online search which snowballed into an amazing rescue!
