According to the KJ, more apartments could soon be available in downtown Augusta.

Kevin Mattson's company Dirigo Capital Advisors, is partnering with Ben Spencer's Capital Area Properties to convert a Water Street building into apartments.  The building, at 333-339 Water Street was originally built as the Odd Fellows Hall in 1900.  Due to its age, Mattson and Spencer will be able to pursue historic redevelopment tax credits to help fund the project.

The building has about 32,000 square feet of space.  The building rises four stories above Water Street and has an additional two stories below Water Street (on the river side).  The ground floor will remain retail space and there could end up being as many as 30 apartments in the building.
