This year's Camp Out Hunger leveled up my hope in humanity again. It gave me a sense that we all are ready and willing to help assist our brothers and sisters in the fight to end hunger in Maine.

November 1st to the 5th, we lived in campers in the Sam's Club parking lot and collected non-perishables and monetary donations to send to the Capital Region Salvation Army to help hunger insecurity. Captain Keith Davis was an integral part of this event and we'll never be able to thank him for what he did for us.

It was a week none of us will ever forget. We had folks come from all over to help. The two 26 foot U-Haul trucks were pretty full by the end of the week and I am hoping we at least made a little dent in hunger.

I wanted to share this week with you all because I know thousands of you came to donate and meet us.

Enjoy the entire week of photos below, capturing us together as a community, working towards one vital goal, ending hunger.

Thank you to Dave Dostie Photography for lending us his talent and taking all of these remarkable photos.

My Letter To All Of The Parents Who Came To Camp Out Hunger

The kids have been very present here donating at Camp Out Hunger. It's times like these where I am so proud of them and most importantly their parents, so I wrote you all a letter.
