Lost Valley in Auburn has been buzzing all summer with something huge! Thousands flock to Lost Valley each winter, excited to get their ski on and this year, the team is unveiling something massive!

More people than ever will benefit due to this major upgrade project!

According to News Center Maine, Lost Valley is getting a brand-new third chairlift and get this, it's the very first one built since 1971! That is over 50 years ago.

This new lift is located near the ski school area on the left side of the hill, as per the article. It's going to give ski bunnies a shorter trip to the top. Not to mention it'll reduce the distance they have to walk to hop on. Isn't that fantastic.

The team at Lost Valley has been hard at work because that's not all! They are also expanding there snowmaking capabilities on that side of the hill, which used to use natural snow.

Also, as per the report, new lights will be inserted along the trails to enhance night skiing. This is going to make for a more enjoyable experience at Lost Valley.

Co-owner Scott Shanaman said according to News Center,

“This is huge for us. We’re always working to provide a better experience for our customers.”

The team has installed eight chairlift towers and are wanting to get the lift up and running this season!

Lost Valley is a community hub and has been creating family fun for years. There mission is for kids to learn how to ski in a safe and exciting way!
