Farmington is making waves online and it’s all thanks to a pair of jeans and a sense of humor.

You’ve probably seen Sydney Sweeney’s viral American Eagle ad plastered all over social media. Well, the creative team over at Origin — the Farmington-based, made-in-the-USA clothing brand — saw it too, and decided to have a little fun.

According to WABI TV 5, they called up Joe Paradis, the owner’s father-in-law, with an urgent request.
“They said, ‘We need you here, it’s time sensitive,’” Joe laughed. “I was in New Hampshire, drove back here, and when they told me what they wanted me to do, I said, ‘What!?’ But let’s do it.”

That same afternoon, the team had Joe in front of the camera, recreating the famous pose — with a twist. The finished ad read: “Joe from Maine has better jeans.”

The internet loved it. Within hours of hitting Facebook, the post racked up thousands of comments and shares. Joe says he’s been getting waves, honks, and plenty of friendly teasing from his buddies ever since.

Origin makes everything from T-shirts to hunting gear right here in the U.S., with jeans produced in their North Carolina plant employing about 250 people.

As Origin’s team puts it, “People are talking about jeans and USA-made manufacturing — and we’ve got something to say about it.”
