State Police Warn About Illegal Aux Light Use

The Maine State Police Facebook page is warning drivers about the use of illegal auxillary lights.

They are particularly concerned about vehicles with non-amber lights.  Plows, wreckers, etc must be equipped with oscillating amber lights, but no non-emergency vehicle may be equipped with lights that emit any color except amber.

This is according to Title 29-Asection 2054.  The fine for breaking the law is $154.00.
