If you missed our interview with Red Cross Communications Director, Mary Brant, we have it here for you to listen to. She informed us earlier this week that as many as 6,000 blood drives across the nation have been cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

The blood drives, in most cases, are not being cancelled by the Red Cross, they're being cancelled by the hosts out of an abundance of caution.

While everyone's safety is paramount during these times, the need for blood doesn't just go away. The Red Cross is not almost a quarter of a million units short of where the need to be.
