According to CentralMaine.com. Farmington Firefighter Theodore "Ted" Baxter has been discharged from the hospital after being injured in the Farmington explosion over a week ago. He is the third firefighter released so far, Fire Rescue Chief Terry Bell, and Capt. Scott Baxter are both still in the hospital with Bell being classified as serious condition and Baxter in critical condition.
Larry Lord, the LEAP maintenance supervisor being credited for getting people out of the building, is in critical condition in Massachusetts.
The explosion, which caused the death of Capt. Michael Bell, happened last Monday. Captain Bell's family had this to say.
“On behalf of our mother Diana Bell, and our entire family, we want to offer our love and support to the Firefighters, LEAP maintenance supervisor and families of all those who were injured or displaced on Monday (Sept. 16),” according to the family. “Many of these people are our family and friends. Please pray for them all. Their road to physical and emotional recovery will be long and they need support.”
They will hold a private ceremony for family and close friends, and a larger vigil for him once all the victims have been released from the hospital according to CentralMaine.com.
