Two drivers, both from out of state, were arrested by Maine State Police after authorities say they were going more than 100 miles per hour.

Kennebec Journal is reporting that the incidents did not occur at the same time. On Monday State Police chased a vehicle that had passed a marked State Police cruiser at more than 125 miles per hour. The driver maintained that speed during the pursuit until she struck a curb. At that time, police took 35 year old Katie Hayhurst of New York into custody and charged her with failure to stop for police, criminal speeding and driving without a license.

Tuesday, 35 year old Paul Hardiman of Massachusetts was arrested in York for driving 104 in a 70 zone. He reportedly told arresting officers he was heading to Sabattus to open the family's camp. Hardiman was arrested and charged with criminal speeding and drunken driving.
